DIY: FLORAL INSPIRED POUFS

The recent birth of my Aunt's new dearest darling, calls for a 'welcome home' baby shower celebration alongside of close friends and family. With a little less than two weeks for the set date to arrive, planning is in full effect.

First time Co-Ed planning has been no joke, but DIYs are seriously the best route to take. Decided to blog about this simple method for creating inexpensive floral inspired poufs to hang from the ceiling as party decorations. It's quick, affordable, and chic for any party occasion especially with the holidays coming up. A specific blog post will be posted containing all decorations that will be used for the 'welcome home' baby shower. Blog will be up sometime in November.

What you'll need: Tissue paper, ruler, scissors, and floral wire.
[Tissue paper 25+ sheets : 20 inch x 20 inch]
[Floral wire: Michael's/Hobby Lobby]

Stacking 5 sheets of tissue paper, flatten out across to fold into 'accordion style'.
Use ruler to guide the folding, once folded your sheet should appear as shown in picture below.

Center  the floral wire across and twist the wire tight, this will keep everything in tact. Decide how long from the ceiling your ornament will drop, this will determine how much wire you will cut off.
[If it will be laying flat, cut off most of the wire]

Grab your scissors and round out the edges of the tissue paper. This will ensure the ornament has a clean "floral" look once completed.

Should look like this once both sides are fanned out.

Carefully begin pulling the top layer of tissue paper towards the center where the floral wire is placed. Repeat to all tissue paper layers including the opposite side.

Final outcome should appear like this, a floral inspired pouf to use as decoration for any party occasion. If laying flat, it can simply be laid out otherwise floral wire can wrap around where it will  be hanging from.
[Not full enough? use more than 5 sheets for a fuller look]
