PERKS OF PLANNING

First things first, Happy July my loves! Half way through the year and it makes me happy to have all my lovely readers stop by and take time to read another post in a new month. I love to motivate and inspire each and every one of you in any way that I can. I've posted a small snippet of my thoughts towards a new month on Instagram ,but figured I would share with you a few perks of starting off your month with goals and motives.

I strongly believe writing down your thoughts and goals takes things to another level. Writing down your ambitions makes it more likely that you will work towards obtaining what you have taken the time to sort out. In this post I will show you the routine I go through at the beginning of every month which works for me and will hopefully help you fulfill some of your monthly aspirations! xx

  • INVEST IN A PRETTY PLANNER/JOURNAL- This is a biggie I am a proud owner of both lol I love to splurge on journals and monthly planners because these are outlets that will hold your most important thoughts, ideas and events. For me the cuter or cooler the more I am excited to actually use them because who doesn't want to write in a notebook that motivates you. The one pictured was purchased at +T.J.Maxx for an inexpensive price.

  • ACCOMPLISH YOUR GOALS- We all have goals, at least I hope you do (Every #GIRLBOSS should) so this leads to having your goals visible for you to accomplish. Instead of having your thoughts scrambled in your head, it is a lot more effective to have them written down in your planner by a specific date you would like to have it achieved by. If you can't think of any trying taking 10 minutes out of your day to sit down and brainstorm. Quick examples can be, drinking 8 cups of water a day this is a good one because I'm sure we all wish we could do this. Others can be motivating yourself to finish a homework assignment or project a day before the deadline. The possibilities are endless...

  • IMPORTANT DATES- We usually know about important meetings, deadlines and due dates ahead of time so this is when your planner comes in handy. Jot down the specific event that is due that day in order for you to plan around your schedule. This helps you to avoid over planning then causing unnecessary stress to your daily life because you didn't prioritize. Organization is key as we get committed to our work. At least in my case I keep an organized ambiance in my life in order to keep the love I have for what I do.

  •  MINIMIZE PROCRASTINATION- This is a huge one because I use to be the queen of procrastination no lie. As I started planning and journaling I began to realize that I was making things more difficult for myself than I had to. I quickly began to enjoy planning out my weeks in terms of what I have to complete and once the project is complete I gain a sense of accomplishment because it's not always an easy thing to do. Avoiding procrastination is one of those things that is easier said than done. As I always say though, habits can be broken it just takes a week or two of consistency ;)

  • OH HAPPY DAYS!- Overall planning and journaling has it's perks that will have you saying 'Oh happy days!' I am not kidding, theres a payoff that makes you appreciate the work you put in towards your future self. Keep in mind that the choices you make today, your future self pays for. Taking the extra steps now will benefit you later I promise. Hope this can motivate you to begin this routine on your own.

Thanks for stopping by loves I truly believe you can achieve your goals as long as you pay attention to them and keep your eye on the prize!
